Car games have always been a popular genre, and the second quarter of 2024 was no exception. Thanks to data from Sensor Tower, we can take a closer look at how the top car games performed on the unified platform in the US.
Starting with F1 Clash - Car Racing Manager, the title showed a fluctuating trend in revenue throughout the quarter, peaking at around $6.6M in early June. Downloads for the game were generally on the decline, with a slight uptick in May, reaching approximately 523K. Weekly active users began at roughly 4.4M in April and saw a modest increase to around 4.4M by the end of June.
Chrome Valley Customs also experienced a mixed trend. Revenue began strong at about $3.4M but saw a gradual decrease to $2.5M by late June. Downloads started at just over 1M but dropped significantly to 138K. Weekly active users mirrored this trend, starting at 3.4M and decreasing to 1.9M.
Aidana Kengbeiil's title, Car Parking Multiplayer, had a more consistent performance in terms of revenue, hovering around the mid-hundreds of thousands, with a noticeable jump to $517K in the week of May 20th. Downloads showed a healthy increase from 525K to 593K over the quarter. Weekly active users were impressive, starting at 7.3M and growing to 7.1M by June 24th.
Traffic Escape! from Fomo Games saw revenue growth from $223K to $421K by the quarter's end. Downloads peaked in the first week at approximately 2.5M but later stabilized around 2M. The game maintained a strong user base, with weekly active users starting at 30M and increasing to 33M.
Lastly, Traffic Puzzle: Car Jam Escape by Huuuge Global Ltd. showed a steady revenue stream, with slight fluctuations around the $300K mark. However, there were no new downloads recorded throughout the quarter. Weekly active users saw a decline from 302K to 119K.
